"Bridging the Gap" Between Therapy and Return to Sport

Sports Health - Bridging the Gap

Bridging the Gap is the next step after a completion of physical therapy and occupational therapy services, organized to continue your quality care and strengthening programs under the supervision of a licensed professional.

The program includes:

  • Expert programming for return to sport and gym
  • Continued care when insurance no longer covers services
  • Enhanced sport performance
  • Improved speed, agility, strength, flexibility, balance
  • Analyze functional movements
  • Bio-mechanics and kinematic evaluations
  • Sports-specific protocols and rehab programs
  • Injury prevention/reduction programs

Return-to-sport protocols offer a step-by-step scientific and medically-endorsed program that will enhance athlete’s abilities to return to the field of play at their top level while reducing risk of further injury.

Services include a functional movement screening, a series of movement screens that identify individuals at risk for movement based injuries:

  • Assists in program design by systematically using corrective exercises to normalize or improve fundamental movement patterns
  • Provide a systematic-tool to monitor progress and movement pattern development in the presence of changing fitness levels.
  • Create a functional movement baseline which will allow rating and ranking movement for statistical observation.
