Based on your personal needs, your team can include any of the following experts:
- Surgeons: Our surgeons have completed several hundred robotic prostate surgeries, bladder reconstruction and minimally invasive kidney procedures.
- Medical Oncologists: Physicians with special training in diagnosing and treating cancer using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and other technologies. At Hartford HealthCare, access to radiation therapy and/or infusion chemotherapy is provided as close to your home as possible.
- Radiation Oncologists: Physicians who are experts in treating cancer using radiation.
- Radiologists: Doctors trained to take and read pictures of areas inside the body, using X-rays, CT scans, MRIs and other imaging technologies. These tools allow us to assess your kidneys, bladder, ureter and reproductive organs.
- Pathologists: Review tissue samples removed during biopsies to make diagnoses in quick, accurate reports.
- Radiation Therapists: Radiation to treat urologic cancer is administered by specially trained therapists.
