COVID-19 Update: Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page for expecting parents at Hartford HealthCare.

Maternity

Many of our physicians hold positions of leadership in national medical societies and serve on the faculties of medical schools of such leading institutions as Dartmouth and the University of Connecticut.

Our acute care hospitals include a teaching hospital with a nationally recognized Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology sponsored by the University of Connecticut.

Our nurses are outstanding as well. Many hold specialty certifications in Inpatient Obstetrics, Maternal Newborn Nursing, Fetal Monitoring, Childbirth Education, Telephone Triage and Breastfeeding.

Our services include breastfeeding programs, childbirth and parent education (virtual and elearning), prenatal testing, newborn screening, nitrous oxide for comfort in labor, help with postpartum depression, family planning, and more.

Pediatric Care Alliance

Through the coordinated expertise of the Pediatric Care Alliance, a partnership between Hartford HealthCare and Connecticut Children’s, we also offer streamlined care close to home for children from birth to young adulthood.

This robust venture ensures that children and families in the communities we serve have access to the best possible care when and where they need it, and fosters innovation in pediatric healthcare for children of all ages.

Care is available in person and by video visits when necessary.
