Central Region Radiologist Published in Prestigious Journal

Dr. Jignesh Modi, neuroradiologist with Midstate Radiology Associates, contributed to a recently published article in the Journal of Neurosurgery about intermediate and high-risk meningiomas, tumors that are found in the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

The American College of Radiology directed a meningioma brain tumor trial over several years, which included meningioma patients from medical centers across the United States and Canada. Last month, Dr. Modi published results of the phase II trial for intermediate-risk meningioma treatment outcomes, which will serve as a guideline for further management of this difficult-to-treat tumor. He will continue to be the co-primary investigator for the phase-three trial, which is already underway.

Dr. Modi joined Hartford HealthCare in 2016 and spends much of his time collaborating with the Ayer Neuroscience Institute.
