Join Javeed Sukhera, MD, PhD, Chair of Psychiatry at Hartford HealthCare?s Institute of Living and Chief of Psychiatry at Hartford Hospital, for a monthly virtual open forum focused on thoughtful, honest conversations about psychiatric medications. This group welcomes questions, uncertainty, and a wide range of personal experiences. Together, peers and Dr. Sukhera will explore what is known, what remains uncertain, and how individuals can make informed decisions about psychiatric medication in partnership with their treatment team. Topics may include medication use, side effects, concerns, changes in treatment, and questions about reducing or discontinuing medication when appropriate and medically supervised. The space is intended to be open, respectful, and nonjudgmental, offering practical insights from both lived experience and clinical expertise. This group is educational and supportive in nature and is not a substitute for individual medical care or personalized medical advice.
