Dr James takes the time to answer any questions, in detail. She is proactive in my care and I have complete trust in her. She explains things in a manner that is easily understood and she is very thorough. I feel as if, when I am in for an appointment, I have her complete attention and she never makes me feel rushed in any way. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My experience with dr. James has been nothing but positive. She takes the time to listen to you, and takes great care and detail in addressing any health issues that you may have. I’ve been seeing Dr James for several years. She’s thorough, kind, understanding and very knowledgeable. I had some health issue that my previous doctor dismissed and she didn’t stop until she figured out where was wrong. When another similar issue popped up she helped me figure out who would be the best fit for me, specialist wise and showed how much she cares!

Dr. James is an amazing human being. In the current hectic pace of health care and the limitations on time given by the insurance companies, she makes every minute count but does not make you feel like you are being rushed and unheard. She cares for both my parents as well and they love her as much as I. *** I hope that people take the time to read this entirely. There are 2 people on here that recently made very negative statements about Dr. James. One person clearly has a strange Axe to grind. If they kept going back for 3 years to someone they didn't like, that's on them. Did they give her as much attitude as they claim she gave them. I'll bet that's an easy answer. The other complains about waiting 17 minutes in the phone getting through to the office. Though it is definitely very frustrating at times, try for a moment to understand that the systemic issues are not the fault of Dr. James. Have you tried getting through to your Cable company, phone company, Eversource? Give me a break. The quantity of GP's is dwindling because of how difficult and overworked the vocation is now. They are limited by the insurance companies and I can say that I came to Dr. James after 25 years with my previous Dr. whose practice was absorbed by pro-health. If you want to make a comparison, go to pro health for a while and you will come screaming back to Hartford Health care and be grateful that Dr. James is your doctor. Thank you Dr. James

Times have changed. My former doctor, who retired a number of years ago, was old-fashioned in his approach (that is, a hands-on examination) as well as conservative. But I find that Dr. James is also careful - while using the latest technologies - and came to her after my husband had suffered a major health setback and went to her for his health care. She was thorough in following up for testing and improved his health noticeably. Soon, I came to her (long overdue after many years of no doctor visits but in relatively good health) and have seen major improvement within a month. In my opinion this is good medical care, her office runs very efficiently, and she informs me of the predominant issues as well as asking if I have any questions. I think many of us who are seniors need to acknowledge the changes that have taken place in health care recently and should appreciate how this benefits us. In my opinion, Dr. James represents the new paradigm for medical care.

Unfortunately my experience with Dr. Silda James was not very positive. She was my GP for a few years. While technically professional most of the time, her attitude was always that of mild irritation and I always left feeling like I had bothered her. Not at all the relationship you hope to have with a health care provider.

Between 2022 and 2025 I was a patient under this provider’s care. My experience was extremely negative and, in my opinion, unsafe. I encountered serious problems with record accuracy, communication, and follow-up. My medical chart showed entries I did not recognize, prescriptions and billing details that were inconsistent, and repeated administrative errors that caused both medical setbacks and financial loss. I filed formal complaints with the clinic’s risk-management office, the Connecticut Department of Public Health, and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (OCR). I’ve preserved documentation for review by journalists and patient-safety organizations. In my opinion, this is not a provider who prioritizes patient welfare—exercise extreme caution before seeking care here. You must know that the office manager, Ms. Powell impersonates Dr. James even when it is medical questions and drug refills. One word: don’t. Beyond that don’t risk your life this equipped uneducated. Dr left me for dead after finding her medical error.
