Bio

Dr. Modi is chief of the Hartford Healthcare Headache Imaging Program in Connecticut and Assistant Professor of Neurology Radiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He is also chief of Neuroradiology at Midstate Radiology Associates and visiting professor at Quinnipiac University School of Medicine. Before this, he was a radiologist & assistant professor at Yale University School of Medicine and affiliated hospitals. Dr. Modi worked as chief of Neuroradiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He was the Director of the MR Spectroscopy.

Dr. Modi earned his medical degree at Smt. NHL medical college, Ahmedabad, India. He completed a medical internship and residency at V.S. General Hospital and affiliated medical centers in India. He earned his Neuroradiology fellowship at the George Washington University Hospital and Interventional radiology fellowship at University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He is board-certified in radiology by the American Board of Radiology and board-certified in Neuroradiology by the American College of Radiology Subspecialties.

While Dr. Modi has extensive experience with Neuroradiology, another primary academic area of interest is teaching and research. He is also a co-primary investigator for multi-institutional brain tumor trials in the USA and Canada.

A respected colleague and sought-after lecturer, Dr. Modi has delivered may lectures locally, nationally, and internationally. Over more than a decade, Dr. Modi has trained many future physicians and providers in the field of Neuroradiology. He has particular interests in the clinical aspects of headache-related imaging and intervention. He is one of the leading radiologists in New England who treats intracranial hypotension and cerebrospinal fluid leaks via dedicated imaging and high-end intervention.

Dr. Modi is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Society of Neuroradiology. He is also an invited reviewer for the radiology journals and volunteer for American Roentgen Ray Society.
