I loved Dr Tunitsky. She was caring, explained everything very well, discussed my condition thoroughly and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all. In these current times it is not uncommon to wait a long time for the Dr to come in - and then feel totally rushed when they do come in. Dr Tunitsky was the opposite - and really did stand out as one of the best doctors I e seen in a long time

Dr. Elizabeth Sappenfield went over a complex surgery - clearly we discussed options. She took the time to explain to my husband & I how and why she will switch this surgery to a different method in a later phone call - after the appointment we were impressed with her thoughts and concerns.

Dr Tunitsky told me not to take notes on my visit, that she would give me her notes, and we both forgot before I left. I checked mychart in case they were there, but not. Left message on her phone that I needed them. They are to call me.... not yet received. Very easy to talk with and understand. Also she was to call in a prescription which hadn't happened when I checked.

Bio

Dr. Tunitsky's specialties include caring for women with pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.

She performs minimally invasive vaginal and laparoscopic surgeries as well as offers many office procedures and non-surgical treatment options.

She is on a faculty at Hartford Hospital where she trains residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as fellows in the field of Female Pelvic Medicine (Urogynecology).

She actively participates in clinical research to advance knowledge of pelvic floor disorders and regularly presents her work at numerous national meeting.

She is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and is fluent in Russian and Spanish.
