Bio
Yelena Pristyazhnyuk, DO, is a hematologist/oncologist with the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute.
She earned a medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine and then a fellowship in hematology/oncology, both at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Fluent in Russian, she has also participated in research projects in specific hematologic malignancies, examining cardiotoxicity of leukemia treatments and identifying cancer biomarkers.
She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians and American Osteopathic Association.
