Doctor explained fully about condition and treatment but did not discuss food etc.that I should not take such as milk products, cookies, salt. Because of the Angina or chest discomfort this should have been addressed also.

Dr Borer has gone out of his way and called me at home after my mom passed away. She was also a patient of his. His heartfelt act of kindness was amazing. He is a Cardiologist who knows his stuff and also focuses on wellness strategies to achieve the goal of improving your health in a positive way without making you feel you are a failure.

I saw Dr. Steven Borer recently for the first time. I could not be more impressed. He is cordial, good humored and kind. He seems like a happy person. He listened thoroughly and explained things very clearly. Before he came in to meet with me, he had already reviewed everything available on my MyChart Plus account. He reviewed some additional tests while we were chatting. I do not require heavy duty cardiac care, but when I see him as needed, I know I will be in good hands. Really, a model doctor.

Bio

Dr. Borer received his Bachelor of Science at Union College in Schenectady, NY and then received his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine 2003. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut in 2006, was Chief Medical Resident in 2007, and completed his cardiology fellowship at Hartford Hospital in 2010, where he served his final year as the Chief Cardiology Fellow. He is a non-invasive cardiologist with board certifications in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
