Meet Our Clinicians:

Empowering women to
take control of their health.

It’s no secret that when it comes to healthcare decisions it’s usually mom who speaks for the family. But far too often moms spend so much time and energy on their family’s health that their own health becomes secondary.

Dr. Mary Satti and her Old Lyme-based practice have worked for nearly 20 years to ensure that women’s specialized primary care needs are met. Dr. Satti says because primary care is such a vast field and that the health needs of men and women are so different a sub-specialty like women’s primary care is essential.

“Oftentimes women get sandwiched between the needs of elderly parents and managing the healthcare of their children...We give women of all ages a safe environment to talk about health concerns that are specific to them along with advice on how to stay healthy and how to manage their stress,” Satti says

Other than the traditional care provided in a primary care setting, women’s primary care addresses issues like contraception, breast health, osteoporosis, fitness, nutrition, and stress management.
