What happened:

Ashley noticed that documentation on papers in a patient chart did not match other information on the chart. She discovered that the patient was registered under the wrong account. There was another patient with the same first and last names – but one had a middle initial. Ashley made sure that the error was rectified so that there would be no confusion about the patient’s history, status and medical needs.

Ashley demonstrated sharp attention to detail. She stopped the line and got clarification, keeping the patient on track for the best possible outcome.
