What happened:

Sabrina was assigned as a sitter for a patient who had been medicated and restrained for violent behavior. She saw that the patient’s breathing was becoming labored. She quickly found a nurse and they were able to intervene with oxygen via nasal cannula.

Safety behaviors demonstrated:

Sabrina was attentive, ARCC’d up the problem, stopped the line and got clarification. Her fast action kept the patient safe.
