What happened:

During a complex spine surgery, David noticed on an X-ray that an implant used in the procedure seemed to have moved out of its original and intended position. He raised this with the surgeons and his observation was verified. Surgeons were able to reposition the implant – possibly saving the patient a second, corrective surgery.

David’s attention to detail and willingness to stop the line ensured the best possible surgical outcome for the patient.
