What happened:
Intravenous (IV) Dilaudid (a narcotic) was ordered for patient who also had received as-needed oxycodone (also a narcotic) an hour before. Alexandra sent a Tiger Text to question IV Dilaudid ordered by the provider that had also been verified by pharmacy. The physician then called Alexandra to tell her that IV Dilaudid was mistakenly ordered for this patient because two Tiger Texts were sent at the same time. The IV order was cancelled and that patient never received the Dilaudid.
