Celebrating three decades of heroism

March 21, 2025

Emergency responders, town and state officials and colleagues from across Hartford HealthCare gathered at Windham Hospital to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Windham Hospital Paramedic program.

“This anniversary is not just a celebration of time, it is a tribute to the countless lives you have touched, the families you have comforted and the trust you have built in this community,” said East Region President Donna Handley. “To our paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers and support staff — we thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your unwavering dedication. You are truly all heroes.”

The event featured several speakers, including Windham Mayor Tom DeVivo who presented a proclamation to Windham Hospital Paramedic Program Manager Paul Pedchenko to commemorate the occasion.
