This survey is legit — please participate

May 24, 2024

During the spring and summer, randomly-selected residents in every Connecticut town will receive phone calls from survey-takers at the Siena College Research Institute — appearing as a 203, 860 or 518 area code — and in some cases, may receive a letter, package or text message requesting your participation in a state-wide well-being survey.

The survey, which is believed to be the nation’s largest neighborhood-level wellbeing survey, is sponsored by Hartford HealthCare.

If you or someone you know is asked to participate in the survey, please do — and encourage others to do so, as well.

How it works: During the spring and summer, randomly-selected residents in each town will receive phone calls from survey-takers at the Siena College Research Institute — appearing as a 203, 860 or 518 area code — and in some cases, may receive a letter, package or text message with information on how to participate.

What it asks: Questions seek to better understand happiness and well-being, experiences and relationships within our communities, and how neighborhoods are doing. This year’s survey will also track trends on access to healthcare, economic security, institutional trust and public safety.

The survey is facilitated and administered by DataHaven, a nonprofit group that leads the collection and sharing of public data about Connecticut.
