Hartford HealthCare unveiled its all-new $150-million Bone & Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital, Nov. 15, culminating years of planning and construction.

The centerpiece five-story building, with a dramatic, sculptural exterior, includes a 150,000-square-foot inpatient hospital linked by a pedestrian bridge to a 86,000-square-foot ambulatory center. The hospital, with 10 operating rooms and 60 beds, also provides orthopedic urgent care, diagnostics, imaging and a wellness-rehabilitation center. The three-story, 35,000-square-foot ambulatory center includes five ambulatory surgery rooms and offices for orthopedics, rheumatology and neurosciences.
