Bio
Dr. Hammond graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1984 and completed his surgical internship and residency at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut and his cardiac surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
He joined the Hartford Hospital Medical Staff in 1991 and has been with the Heart Transplant Program since his arrival.
His interests are in surgery for heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and transplantation.
He also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at UCONN School of Medicine.
