Bio

Dr. Kenneth Kramer is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in adult and pediatric spinal problems.

Born in Huntington, N.Y., Dr. Kramer received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Wesleyan University and his Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine. He then completed his General Surgery Internship and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Yale Medical School, followed by a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at University of Maryland Medical School. Upon completion of his training he joined Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists, with whom he has spent his entire professional career.

Dr. Kramer is an Attending Surgeon at Yale-New Haven Hospital and The Hospital of Saint Raphael, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Yale Medical School. He is Past President and Past Vice-President of the New England Spine Study Group, and a member of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Yale Orthopaedic Association, Connecticut State Medical Society, New Haven County Medical Association, and Health Volunteers Overseas. A published author and frequently requested speaker, his presentations have included those for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, New England Spine Study Group, Yale Orthopaedic Association, Southern Connecticut Scoliosis Association, Connecticut Athletic Trainers Association, Yale Medical School Orthopaedic Grand Rounds, and Hospital of Saint Raphael Community Education Seminars.

Dr. Kramer's practice involves both the surgical and nonsurgical management of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal conditions. He has a particular interest in evolving minimally-invasive surgical techniques, as well as percutaneous and injection therapy.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kramer most enjoys spending time with his wife Robin and their five kids, sharing their interests in sports, musical performance and travel. He is an avid jazz and classical trumpeter, tennis player, cyclist and reader. He is secretary of his college class and serves on the board of directors of the Yale Orthopaedic Association and the Yale Medical Symphony Orchestra.
