Dr. Salner Receives Global Lung Cancer Coalition Journalism Award

Andrew Salner, M.D., medical director of the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at Hartford Hospital, received the "2014 Special Recognition Award/Global Lung Cancer Coalition Journalism Award."

Dr. Salner was recognized along with Andrea McKee, M.D. chair of Radiation Oncology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, for their work in bringing awareness to lung cancer screening in the U.S. They were honored for their opinion piece published in the New York Times, 'A Cancer Battle We Can Win.'
